glock 34 slide build on 22 frame.

hey guys I am wanting to build a 34 slide using spare parts I got here to mount on my 34 frame. I have a spare 22 and 17 slide laying around for parts. anyway All I should need is a lone wolf 34 slide and and barrel and it should function fine on my 22 frame correct?

If I am thinking right all I really need is to change the model 22 ejector to a 9mm ejector and i could use all the parts out of that slide and save my17 slide all togther?

It would only cost me out of pocket about 278 bucks to do the build which is far cheaper than a new 34.

A buddy of mine I was just shooting with today picked up a police trade in 34 for $300, 2 weeks ago, and won an match with it last weekend. While I realize he is a lucky SOB, for finding that deal, you could be too. It's much easier and cheaper than building it from parts.

The slide should fit the frame just fine, and the 40 extractor should work fine for 9mms also. I have a 9mm conversion barrel for my G22 and the extractor and ejector work just fine.

I have heard this so many times and got thinking about it. for last two months I have been searching high and low for a 34 and the best price I can find was 480.00 used @ a gun show. I almost bought it but decided to wait.

now lets do some math.

1 glock 34 bone stock. 480.00 + 100 for target sights+ 60 for a trigger job+109 for a fully supported match barrel ( needed to reload/shoot lead) thats a grand total of 749.00 and that is using the best price i found which I Passed on. The next best price I have found 515.00 = 784.00 ready to shoot production class glock 34.

ok now lets go with just a frame and new slide.

278 lone wolf bbl and slide. 100 target sights + 3.99 firing pin channel ( just in case I score mine removing it) my frame already has a rocket trigger if i really wanted to I could pull my tru glows but i will spring for new sights.

so now784 - 381.99 = a differance of 402.01 dollars

so for 381.99 I have 2 production ready uspsa guns ready to shoot. one glock 22 and 1 glock 34.

remember I have a glock 17 and a glock 22 so I could shoot the 34 in production using the 22 frame and the 22 in limted 10 using the 17 frame. both frames have rocket triggers.

seems like by the math the best way for me to go is with a new slide and bbl.

I also shoot a conversion bbl in my glock 22 it shoots flawlessly with the exception of federal 115 a switch to 9mm ejector took care of that.
