I have been wanting a Glock. There, I said it. Sooo, yesterday I saw a 36c at the shop. It's a trade in excellent condition w/fiber optic sights. I did some creative bargaining and got a great price.
Here's my problem, as a rule I don't care for comped guns. Don't see a point, especially in a short barrel like this. The FO sights are a big plus for me, and if I bought a new pistol I would put them on it. At this price though, I can buy this gun and put a new barrel in it for 70 bucks less than putting sights on a new one.
I took this apart and I doubt it has had much more than a box of shells thru it, if that. What should I do?:banghead:

PS: This is a recently manufactured pistol. No recall on it.

That is what I am thinking. Then it would be non-comped w/the option to go comped if I wanted to, maybe if my wife wanted to shoot it.

If it's a good price, go for it! Like you said, you can get a new barrel and still come out ahead.

If it's a range or daily CCW piece, dirt coming in through the ports shouldn't be a problem if it's inspected/cleaned regularly and is carried in a serviceable holster that shields that part of the gun.

Just found out today the pistol is on consignment by one of the employees. It's not a 36c, it's a 36 that he had Magna-Ported. He has over $700 in this pistol. I will pick it up on Monday.:D
