Anybody run Wolf through their Glocks? I am guessing it runs just fine because Glocks will eat basically anything. Anybody had problems with it?

I am looking to find some cheap practice ammo and the Wolf is about $30 cheaper per 1000 than my typical brass practice ammo. Thoughts?

EDIT: Please do not consider not recycling brass when responding. I may or may not be able to collect brass for resale so don't factor in not recycling steel. I am only interested in the ammo itself.

Not wolf per se, but I did run 50 rounds of TulAmmo steel case through my Glock 36 and had one FTF. That glock ran flawlessly with the brass stuff though.

ymmv.

I've shot a lot of Wolf .45ACP and 9mm in various guns without any problems. However, I have had a lot of problems with Wolf .40SW in several different guns BUT never a problem one with my Glock 23. My 23 gobbles it up and sends it down range. I am not a real big Glock fan but I am working on it.........if they just weren't so da-- ugly. Keep shootin'

Shoot it to your heart's content. I fire steel cased through my Glock 9mm. Never had a problem. Accuracy is the same as brass cased.

In the early 2000s I ran ~500 rounds of 9mm Luger through my G19 with no problems whatsoever. I had a few misfires with .45 Auto in a G30. The powder stank, somewhat like burning hair, and left a little more residue than usual, but cleaned easily with normal procedures.

Glock barrels are surface hardened and probably significantly harder than Wolf steel cases. I would not have any problem shooting steel cased ammo in my Glock barrels.

Wolf is nasty for sure but for shooting cans it's great since white box Winchester keeps going up.

If I shoot it right away, no problems. If I leave Wolf ammo in a fully loaded Glock mag for a few days, I've experienced failures to feed where the mag completely locks up. My hypothesis is the polymer coating can stick when put under pressure in the same spot for awhile.

I shot about 500 rounds of Wolf through my 17 with no real issues. As stated earlier, you will have to clean your gun a bit more with Wolf, but it's not too bad.

I don't have an issue shooting Wolf in the future, but it doesn't duplicate the performance of defensive ammo as closely as I'd like. For that reason, I've been mostly shooting Speer Lawman these days.

I've ran several hundred rounds of Tula and a couple hundred rounds of wolf in my gen4 19. I didn't experience a single issue. I'll probably be resorting back to Tula or Wold for range fodder since wwb went up since the last time I bought some. My ammo box got low somehow. :(

I don't like to shoot wolf in anything I own but my SKS. If I was going to shoot steel in my firearms and I really don't anticipate doing that right now, it would be Barnaul... I did shoot this in my Makarov when I had it in my collection and it shot ok, but steel on steel is not my idea of being very good for any firearm even though it is supposed to be softer...

When I use Blazer it is Blazer brass, cheap to shoot. I wouldn't want to have to stake my life on it.

No prob in my Glocks, I hate having to seperate the steel cases out at the indoor range though.
