how many of you change out the plastic glock sights
and to what , glock night sights, truglo, ect ?

TFO and Big Dot are my favorites though the Glock standard night sights are great too.

The plastic front sight on my Model 23 was loose and wiggling when I bought it new.
I pulled it off with my fingers.

They were changed out to steel night sights as soon as I could get them and change them.

I swap out the plastic sites for factory steel sights (regular, not night sites). I like the little white U on the factory rear plastic and steel sights. I might be the only guy who actually likes the white U... :)

I actually find the 'U' rear sight easy to use too - never saw the need to change the factory configuration. But then, I do not carry a Glock as a duty or a concealed carry pistol.

As has been said - factory Glock sights are better referred to as "dovetail protectors". Swap them to something else ASAP.

'course I swap the sights on almost all my pistols, but still - Glocks are the most in need.

The factory plastic sights are bad sights for multiple reasons. They just aren't a good design. I can't imagine not going with any number of better choices. What I'd choose depends on the role of the gun.

After trying several different brands, I settled on XS big dot sights. I'm very happy with them on combat pistols.

I also like the stock sights, I've carried my Gen3 17 with the stock sights for 6 years.

I always change the front sight. I've never had a problem with the fixed rear sights so I only change them if I'm going to put night sights on the gun. The rear adjustable sights are a different story. Although I've never bought a Glock that came with one, if I ever had it would have been replaced immediately.

Exactly. I find that a color contrast works best. Bright front sight, plain black rear. Wide rear notch, narrow front blade.

Some people just put the Glock rear sight on backwards, then file the front sight thinner for more light around the sides of the front sight (even more contrast). Pretty pathetic, but when your lame PD only allows you to run the stock steel Glock sights, you have to do, what you have to do.

The standard sights work for me just fine...I do some good work with them.
+1 Never had a problem. If I need aged eyes assistance for at home across-the-room protection, I installed lasers: see spot; see hole

Night sights: XS Big Dot, Meprolight green front/yellow rear, Truglo TFO green/yellow.

i really like the factory fixed sights, they are low profile and dont have much light gap.
i just black out the rear sight and primer then paint the front bright orange

iv tried warren tactical sights, they are too tall and have way to much of a gap.
my hit factor is much better with factor fixed sights.

I don't know as I only have one Glock, a Model G17, which I bought when they first went on sale many years ago. I did buy a fixed sight set for it figuring I would change it out when the time came but the original factory adjustable sight is still doing just fine and I shoot well enough with it that I haven't changed it.

Glock Sights

You can send Glock the slide only and they will put them on for next to nothing. They will also provide the night sights for next to nothing.

I drove to their facility in Smyrna. I think it was about fifty dollars.

Another plus for buying a Glock. Call them up or email them.

Their customer Service is fantastic!
