I’ve searched old threads, & while there are plenty discussing slide swap compatibility, my question goes a little deeper. And my questions only concern Gen3 (& Gen2) 9mm handguns.

Which internal parts of the slide are interchangeable between models 17, 19, & 26?

And which internal parts of the lower are interchangeable between models 17, 19, & 26?

I’m not a Glock armorer but the guns are so elegantly and simply designed that they are just a few steps above LEGO’s. I ordered parts for a 17 slide, and installed them on a 19 slide — no problem. I know, too, that a19 slide will operate on a 26 frame/lower so the interface dimensions are the same there. I know the locking blocks are slightly different shapes and locations(G17 at least). Do the rest interchange?

Locking blocks and barrels no, everything else yes. Some have smooth triggers, some serrated. But they interchange assuming same caliber.

That’s what I thought, but wanted confirmation before I did any mix & match.

Ah, the genius of Gaston Glock (or the result of a savvy industrial manufacturer simplifying production as much as possible in handgun design).
