Just thought I'd pass along. Glock is doing a recall (they don't use that word) on Gen 4 recoil springs (with the exception of G26 and G27).

http://www.teamglock.com/customer-service/recoil-spring-exchange

GLOCK Inc. is voluntarily exchanging the recoil spring assembly (RSA) on its new Gen4 pistols (with the exception of G26 and G27 models). GLOCK has developed a new design to the recoil spring assemblies on its Gen4 pistols to replace several variations that are functioning in the market today. As part of the company’s commitment to perfection, we are voluntarily exchanging the existing RSA in order to ensure our products perform up to GLOCK’s stringent standards.

Wait a second. Glock = "Perfection." So how is a recall possible?

I'm confused. :)

Hang on - I gotta grab a mop, because there's gonna be a lot of spilled Kool-Aid.

Yeah, it'd be much better if they ignored a potential problem and pretended it didn't exist, rather than offer a free fix.

I like Glocks -- Really, I do.

But, this is the THIRD spring for the Gen 4 line.

Perfection? If Sig had this problem, the Glockheads would have already posted a million threads on the subject.

Glock's new slogan should be "If it ain't broke, we'll keep fixing it until it is." :neener:

If all it takes to be a "Glockhead" or a "fanboy" is owning a G19 for 13 years, count me in.

As long as were talking about gen 4 kool-aid and NOT gen 3 were good.Seriously;im having alot of hesitation wanting to buy any gen 4.Has there been any official word yet if there going to keep making the gen 3's for the foresable future.

I disagree as I could care less about what a Sig does or doesn't do useless you are comparing them to Glocks or other guns I'm fond of. Fact of the matter is Sig = overpriced in most cases.

Many guns can be as reliable as a Glock when properly maintained, but until someone can show me a gun that can stand up to this type of abuse and testing I don't put them on Glocks level.

IMO Glock needs to quit BS'ing around, and just go to a Gen3 recoil spring setup.

We Glock fan boys have stated on numerous occasions that the GEN4 models don't count.

lol the only gen4's with issues are the 17/19. the rest rock! i bet by this time next year, reaper will own one......but he'll never tell us :D

the gen3's are the most popular pistols in the world for military/LE. it would be corporate suicide for glock to stop making them any time soon.
