I am looking to upgrade my glock 22 factory sights to something better. Sights that I have looked at include:

Heinie slat pro w/ Dawson FO front
Dawson fixed with FO front
Sevigny Tactical with FO front
Dawson Adjustables

If I plan on shooting in production an occasionally in limited should I get adjustable sights for changes in point of impact or will it be close enough for action shooting? Any thoughts or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Dan

Dawson adjustables with the thin .100 front. I ran the fiber optic front and rear for years. It really screams "Use your sights". After several years of shooting I changed to black on black as it became faster for me.

I would definately go with adjustables. You can really dial in your sights for your ammo.

I don't own a Glock, but my two IDPA XDs wear Dawson Precision sights. Adjustable fiber-optic (front and rear) on one, fixed fiber-optic (front and rear) on the other. After using both, I can say that I like the fixed Dawsons better than the adjustables. On the fixed sights, the front sight is shorter and the rear has a wider and deeper notch than on the adjustables. It makes it easier for me to track the front sight for follow-up shots.

The STI Spartan I have on the way has an adjustable black rear and fiber-optic front. I'm still debating changing them out for Dawsons so I can have consistency from gun to gun. My eyes are bad enough, adjusting to different sights when switching from one gun to another just makes things worse.

*EDIT* I also use the .100" wide front sights for both guns.

The Sevigny/Warren sights are REALLY REALLY nice as are the race cut Heinie sights.

On my Production Glock I use the Ameriglo adjustable target sights. One of the nicest things about them is that I can run loads from 115 grain factory to REALLY soft 147 grain handloads while maintaining the POI where I am looking. They also have a sight picture that is just absolutely fantastic. I wouldn't even consider a non-adjustable sight on a competition gun, I have to have the POI EXACTLY where I want it to have the confidence to call the shots and shoot without hesitation or looking for bullet holes as I shoot.
