Finally you, Marcus, see the light.

Dougboya: Get some glocks for you cook country army as well.

Fact remains apart from the jokes that Glock is admired by over 1/3 of the people who like pistols.

Who knows may be when the poll ends Glock will be performing even better.

Let me explain why I like G-Kool Aid. The very first weapon system I owned was a Ruger Standard. That grip on the Ruger .22 is just like the grip on the Glocks. I like a slimmer grip like on my Styer M9 as well as the safety, but for everything else I shoot angle gripped weapons better. It is what I learned on and it feels natural to me. I think the 1911 grips like on my Colt 1956 98% 1911 MIM stink. It is just what you are used to.

Firepower! - Illinois is a home to lots of Glocks. The Illinois State Police dropped the Model 59 for the Glock 22 after decades of being devoted to Smith and Wesson. My local police department is about 75% Glock packers, with a Beretta 92FS and a USP .45 thrown in for good measure. And the Chicago Police Department finally approved the Glock in 9mm, .40 and .45 ACP in 2007.

However, Firepower!, I honestly do not like following the crowd like a lemming. I will pick what I will pick, and though I don't feel the grip of a Glock is as bad as some people gripe about it, there are so many other wonderful designs which feel just a skosh better that honestly, I really don't need you jamming a design down my throat because nobody else will sell to your country.

"I really don't need you jamming a design down my throat because nobody else will sell to your country."

Well Dougboy: you are worng and I mean dead wrong. One but for springfield Khar and Kimber every other gun is sold in Pakistan. They all come on through Europe, and some from American soldiers.
AS per jamming stuff down your throat...nobody is doing that. You are just suffering some sorat of complex. Show me my one post where I forced you to buy Glock or HK?

Lets be real and enjoy with constructive ctricisim.

Firepower, I don't think you get it. Only 1/3 of THR users prefer Glock. I highly doubt that 1/3 number would transfer to the rest of the world. Outside of military and law enforcement, I doubt that Glock dominates the market like you seem to believe. There are so many other choices out there. I would be willing to bet that there are more 1911s and revolvers in circulation than Glocks.

Now the question is will Glock remain above 1/3 or will it surge to victory!

THR is a pretty good sample since people are logged in from different walks of life and different parts of the world. Sample is a darn close representation of the reality...that is why you in blood test you just take the sample not drain the body.

As per you bet...well sir how come it is not true here....and in the JUST ONE HANDGUN poll Glock is also leading where most 1911 and revolver makers are listed.

lets see, we've got plastic guns and we've got nice steel and aluminum alloys available.

Yeah, I'll take mine in metal thank you very much.
CZ crew signing in.

I only have Glocks in my stable. A lot of 1911 holders have trouble admitting that Glocks have taken the firearm world by storm. Change happens, and we must be prepared for it. Maybe in a few hundred years, there will be a pistol that will come along a push Glock to #2.

Those of you on here who are resisting the darkside, don't do this to yourselves. Get a Glock; a G19 preferably, and give it a run. The addiction gets really heavy afterwards. I'm on my 4th Glock and counting.

If you fish a lot and need a weight to hold the bait bucket down then Glock is your answer.

If you want a great gun buy a Colt or a Sig or a S&W. Dear Lord stay away from the bait bucket holders.

I rate Glock about the same as a Raven Arms or FIE Saturday Night Special.

Molon Labe,
Joe
:D

Maybe in a few hundred years, there will be a pistol that will come along a push Glock to #2.
It will be call an M&P, and the time frame will be much less.

As a reloader who likes to play with different loads in 40 S&W, I'll pass on the glock, I want my hand to remain intact.:neener::p

Glock: The look cool, the name is Uber-cool, cops use 'em, they are super reliable. What else could you possibly want? They do a job for a good price.

Glocks are very popular with some shooters and organizations.

(Insert your favorite make handgun here) are very popular with some shooters and organizations.

Some folks don't like Glocks.

Some folks do like Glocks.

Some folks like semiautos.

Some folks do not like semiautos.

Some folks like revolvers while others wouldn't have them on a bet.

Some like Ford, others Chevrolet, while others like neither.

Some like vanilla while others like chocolate.

No two people are the same.

Let's move on to something else.

The this vs. that polls are becoming thinly veiled versions of the so-called hate threads that are not allowed.

Let's just move on.
