im looking to get a good conceal carry revolver with a big enough grip for my hands, i dont like having only 3 fingers on the grip. im also looking for one in a 38 or 38+p cartridge. also please include pictures of the onces you own so i can make a comparison.

A S&W Model 65 (fixed sight), Model 66 (adjustable sight), Model 10, Ruger GP100, SP 101....these are all about the same size. Not pocket carry, but can be carried IWB and have full size grips.

pachmayr made a grip for j frame smith .had a set for the wife .too big for pocket.

Just how many fingers do you have? One pulling the trigger only leaves 3 for the grip, assuming you have just the standard issue 4 per hand.

Seriously though, it's the grip, not the gun. You can get big grips for any gun.

It's an old picture. Here is my SP101 with 2 1/4" barrel. I have since change the grip from the Hogue rubber to Hogue wood. Similar in size but the smoothness of the wood doesn't snag clothing so much like the "sticky" rubber. Both give a full 3 finger grip with fairly large hands. It's a light shooter with .38 +P's. Magnums pack a bit of a punch and are a little harder for me to control.

With a "concealed carry" revolver, you really have to decide how much shootability you're willing to sacrifice for ease of carry.

A great many people pack aluminum j-frames that they are pitiful shots with. That would be my absolute smallest gun, ever. Next up from that are the stainless steel j-frames. They're the same size (still fit in a pocket) but weigh more, making them much easier to shoot, especially with defensive ammunition. Next up from that are the 6 shot K-frames with 2.5 or 3" barrels, then the 4" K-frames, then L and N frames which start to get on the big side.

A 4" K-frame handles like a full sized sidearm (because it is one) but is still light and thin enough to carry easily inside the waistband. The 4" K-frame below was my daily carry gun for 4 years or so.

Carry a gun you can shoot.

I have a 327 NG but have been considering purchasing the 315 NG (pictured). I like the pistol concept and don't regret purchasing the 327 first, but it is to big to conceal.

The 315 is a six shot, light weight, K frame with a 2 1/2 barrel and it's +P rated.

A K frame snubie may be what you are looking for. I carry a S&W model 12 with a 2" barrel. It can be carried in my front pocket or OWB.

I also carry a 642 the same way. It was easy to swtch to Uncle Mike's Combat grips. They cover the backstrap and give you a full sized grip, yet they still conceal well.

S&W Model 19 with 2 1/2" barrel and Hogue Bantam grips. Full sized revolver but very concealable, while allowing a "full" grip on the revolver.

Some people have the ability to conceal an eight inch Anoconda while wearing nothing but a thong and pasties while doing Tae Bo on the hood of a car doing a slalom.

About the largest gun I can conceal is a snubby .38. I shoot a steel frame better than alloy. With this in mind, I cart a Colt Detective Special around with me when I am concealing a wheelie.

Any j frame will do. I have an MP 340 which is very light and its not really a problem to shoot like many people proclaim. I guess try before you buy to make sure the recoil is acceptable for you. For me I just could not fathom carrying a larger framed revolver.

I feel confident in my accuracy out to 10 yards and can shoot it acceptably to me out to 25 yards.
To be honest I cant imagine too many scenarios where I would be shooting at 25 yards, so to me this is acceptable, ymmv however.

I just adapted to the 2 finger grip because I dont want to give up the concealabillity of the smaller grip. If you do get a j frame though and just are more comfortable with 3 fingers there are many options available.

That my friend is a classic, for sure! :D

Off topic, but Ringer, a locksmith would advise you against posting pictures of your keys. That Schlage SC-1 pattern on top of your ring, for example (post number 10), has a finite number of cut variants, and making a rough and ready but effective duplicate based on your clearly visible pattern would be an easy task for any hardware store clerk.

S&W N-Frame (or L-Frame), Ruger GP100...all with a 3" barrel.

Big is good! You just need to get creative on carrying it.
