That said, I've been into getting something back from the whole system now, after I paid way too much into it some years back. So I like to pass purchases through a card that gives me "points" that I can use (especially on gun, hunting, outdoor stuff).
I'm looking to replace my REI credit card with something else.
We already have a Cabela's card for all our household purchase. All the Cabela's stuff we've gotten with "points" has been GREAT!
I'm considering using a Bass Pro card for my personal expenses (my wife and I have both a larger pooled account for any family expenses, and also our own smaller separate accounts so we can spend some money on our own individual stuff without turning our marriage into a parent/child thing).
Anyone have something else to recommend?
(I'm not interested in freaky-flyer miles at this point. It makes more sense for me to buy tickets when and where I travel.)
