Yeah, the "no reloads" rule would pretty much keep me from going there. I always try to find out ahead of time if reloads are permitted and what they have to be.
many indoor ranges collect spent brass and sell it. Steel cased ammo becomes a pain for them to sort out
Does anyone know if there is steel in the bullet of the pistol ammo offered by the Russian ammo makers (Wolf, Silver Bear, Brown Bear, Tula, etc.)?
(i) a projectile or projectile core which may be used in a handgun and which is constructed entirely (excluding the presence of traces of other substances) from one or a combination of tungsten alloys, steel, iron, brass, bronze, beryllium copper, or depleted uranium; or
(ii) a full jacketed projectile larger than .22 caliber designed and intended for use in a handgun and whose jacket has a weight of more than 25 percent of the total weight of the projectile.
Clearly marked no steel core ammo signs everywhere, some dude with a .45 in the lane next to me thought that wasn't important. My best friend tended to disagree after he caught a ricochet in the shoulder.
Not sure about the steel cases other than sorting them out of the brass would be a pain.
