Finally, my 10 day wait is over, picked up my 19-3!!! All I've been doing is polishing it & getting acquainted w/ it. It's sweet! If I figure out how to post pics, I'll post one of her :D

What bbl length?

I've got a 2 1/2" and a 4" carry both of them (at different times ;) )

Might want to get the Miculek Trigger Job video if you are not fmailiar with taking one down. Even though I've yet to take file or stone to either gun I found the video interesting and helpfull. Did change the rebound springs which made for very good trigger pulls without compromising hammer strike force :)

It's a 4" model ;) thanks for asking! So far, I'm totally satisfied w/ the way the trigger feels. I'll give it a few more rounds and decide later, but for now, I'm happy :)

Ten day wait?

Oh....I see you're from Kalifornistan.

I'm glad you were cooled off when you went to pick it up.

I think the People's Socialist Republik of California has a state imposed 10-day waiting period that is independent of the Brady Bill back ground check.

Not only do you have to wait the 10 days, but if the gun came in on consignment,it has to stay in "jail"for 30 days first, for a backround check, had it been used in a crime spree,THEN:rolleyes: you get to wait the 10 days:cuss: I still have 3 more weeks before I get my newly aquired S&W 29 :banghead: Now,where did I put those real estate ads for Nevada;)

I bought a gun on consignment. The gu is not to be released until March 1st, but the owner of the shop let me DROS it on the 19th, making my pickup date March 2nd.

Nope the Prk wants you to leave and take those evil guns with you .:neener: The guards and check points are for when you what to come back:neener: :banghead:

:what: I can get a handgun home a lot sooner than that. In fact, I can usually get it home in less than ten days.

And I live in Canada.

Whatinnahell is a "DROS"? It's not a term I've heard used in gun shops here in America.
= Dealer’s Record of Sale

Sometimes found in the auto sales world along with MSO (Mfg. Statement of Origin)

I love Pennsylvania, you pick out the gun, fill out the papper work and pay for it. TAKE it home, as manny as you want!!!!!!!! You just need the moolla...

10-day wait is so 10-ring can cool down if he has any thoughts on committing a crime with his new gun.

Although he has all those other guns at home....

Skunk, ten days to calm down or to plan??? Oh, I forgot to say, way to go on the m-19. I have a realy nice 6 inch m-19. The action is like glass. I NEED a 2.5 incher now!!!!!

Oh, Silly Me!

I saw the abbreviation "DROS" and thought it was a play on a military term I've heard used, pronounced Dee-Ross. Something like, Date of Return from Over Seas.

I really thought it was a play on being interned in PRK, and something about moving, either self or a firearm, or both, into the (mostly) Free USA. Sorry--Bad joke, being played out in my own mind . . . .

Best,
Johnny

I've only got 200 round through her (because I didn't buy more  ). My19 has quickly gotten me addicted. I want more revolvers now!
We also have a 1 per 30 days rule too. But it only applies to NEW guns. I can buy all the 'pre-agreement' S&W's I can find as quickly as I find them!
