Today I received my plaque from the Illinois Police Association. At the matches held four times a year you can place in either Bullseye, 22 Bullseye, or Police Combat.

I've shot two matches so far and placed three times. These are statewide competitions held at seven locations across the state.

Nice

You are shooting very well.
There is still time to get to Camp Perry. How far is Port Clinton, Ohio from you?
You would really enjoy it. First relay in the day on the shore of Lake Michigan....three ranges lined up with a few hundred shooters....you gotta hear rapid fire then.
I won't make it this year...foot surgery....not gonna be mobile in time.

It's almost 500 miles from where I live. Because of family obligations it's out for me this year. My shooting partner, who happens to be my uncle, and I have already made plans to make the trip next year. It's something we have wanted to do for awhile and we are really looking forward to it.

Awesome!

So the humble Pro 1000 can load match grade ammo ... ;)

Congrats!

Yes it can!!! Like anything it's about technique and component selection. Choosing a powder that drops consistent, etc. many people would freak if they knew that I load that quality of ammo and I don't even sort cases by headstamp. It's simply not needed.

Nicely done !

Way to hold the torch for us lowly lee users :D

It should be mentioned that in the last league I took first place in, and all of these on the plaque nearly all of my competition are loading on blue machines, and the have historically lived to brag on how superior they are. I've even had one guy walk into the conversation and say "you can never make as good of ammo on any other press as you can on a Dillon." Then I pointed out that he has beaten by me all season with my low quality reloads off my crappy Lee press. Haven't heard much from him on the subject since.
