Great day for me, not so much for savings

I feel your pain.. I did the same thing a couple weeks ago.

Different pistols, but a nice chunk outta my play money

Nice. That CZ has kind of a banana look ;) Be sure to post a range report, maybe even a range comparison?

Thanks all, hope to get to the range in next couple days. I have absolutely no need for either, esp another 1911, but a used EB that I don't think anyone ever shot and if they did could not have been more than a mag or two for 2000 out the door was too tempting to walk away. I really have no need for anything else in 9mmm, but i made the mistake of handling the Orange. I already really like CZ's, and the trigger on this one is almost as good as the EB. Knew I should have just walked away. Now if I can just find a CZ 97 I will be done:evil:

There are many like it, but this one is mine.

Came across one a few years back but alas, as much as I love CZs, the CZ 97 was just a tad too big for my smaller size hand.

Food and shelter are overrated, but a pair of pistols like that are a joy forever!

And to think for years I have been believing that propaganda about the "necessities"!

You're right of course though; those two pistols are truly awesome and I would gladly forego a few high priced meals in order to have even just one of them!

But the roof (along with the rest of the house),over my head is a definite must-have!

Wood pallets and cardboard. Anything else is just excess

Here, here! Spoken like a true minimalist!

Of course this existence should not be extended to the essentials: firearms, edged weaponry, fine cigars, and Courvoisier! Life without them would be unthinkable!

Walkalong, very nice. Starting to think they are unicorns.

Love to see a man who has his priorities straight.

I find myself at an interesting point in my life. The kids are grown, well out of the house anyway. I started young, oldest is 32 and youngest is 25, 4 grandkids oldest is 12, I am only 49. My car and truck are paid for, wife owes 1800 on hers, we paid off house last year, and 0 credit card debt. So, time for more toys:evil:

Kind of like me and my wife with the kids out of the house (just two more to get married when they're done with school), house is paid for (downsized four years ago and paid cash for our current residence), no credit card balance, my car is nearly paid off and the wife prefers to lease every three years. We're a bit older than you but we enjoy spending money on the grandkids, going out to eat, and we do quite a bit of travel; still have money left over for "toys" as you put it but usually we reserve those as gifts for birthdays and Christmas.

Enjoy life while you can because the ride is over way too soon the older you get!
