I replaced a grip on my Kimber Custom II with an Aimtech mount system.

I'd like to add the original grip on top of it, but the original screws are too short and I couldn't find anything to do the job in my spare parts box.
Would you guys know where I could find Kimber-compatible longer grip screws ?

Thank you JTQ,
I have been looking around and found those, but they are standard length screws.

Lowes and Home Depot as well as Ace Hardware have a good assortment of stainless standard and metric screws. They have a sizing set up so you can determine size and thread pitch as well. I was surprised at the Ace Hardware selection of small hardware items.

While you're at Brownell's or VZ, you could buy yourself a set of slim grips and at least put one panel on the side that has the mount panel. That would probably allow the standard screw to work.

Aren't 1911 grip screws some odd ball thread? I seem to remember finding that information somewhere but have no recollection of exactly what they are. I've also seen information that Ace Hardware has a much better selection of screws including some gun screws than either Home Depot or Lowe's.

I kept on searching and found confirmation that 1911 grip screws are not industry standard.
Their designation is 0.150 - 50 UNS - 2A.

Shaft diameter:
.150
Shaft length:
.255
Thread pitch:
50 threads per inch.
Head Diameter:
.275
Nomenclature:
"50 UNS" = 50 threads per inch, Unified National Special thread profile.
"2A" = The Class Fit, amount of tolerance or tolerance and allowance specified.

I couldn't find any evidence extended variants exists.

A solution might be to tap the bushing oversized with a standard thread and go from there if enough metal is avalable to allow it. That's what I would do if it's doable..
