I would like suggestion on what type grips would be a good choice and comprise for carry and control.

Some suggestions:
Eagle Secret Service (wood) www.eaglegrips.com
Craig Spegel Boot Grip (wood)
Uncle Mike's/Butler Creek "boot grip" (rubber)
Hogue Bantam (rubber)
Pachmayr Compac Professional (rubber)

All the above fill in the area behind the trigger guard for better control, but only extend to the bottom of the grip frame and do not cover the backstrap, so no bulk is added to the gun.

I will be carring strong side OWB...probably using a pancake style holster.

Jeez, where to start? ;) Here are a few holster makers:

www.highnoonholsters.com
www.usgalco.com
www.bianchi-intl.com

I will carry with .357 loads but will practice with .38spl....I have considered carrying Remington Golden Saber .38spl +P's.

A good choice if you want to use .38 Spl. loads. If you don't mind the kick and roar, the Remington .357 125-grain SJHP is a very effective magnum load. For a little less kick and roar, try the Winchester "white box" .357 110-grain JHP. I rather like this load myself.

A last item the front blade sight...Can it be change to a night sight...if yes who does this.

Meprolight makes a front night sight that fits in the notch in the sight blade that holds the colored plastic insert, and also a replacement rear sight blade with night sight inserts. A competent gunsmith should be able to install them.

I like the Spegel grips...Can you give the model of grips and maybe a website.

Any suggestions or comments on Carry loads
This is a post I wrote on another firearms-related board. It might offer a little info for you. Although not listed below, I carry .38+P 125gr Winchester Silvertips in my 2" S&W 340PD. Velocities with these and several other +P loads are usually in the 880fps range. I, myself, would suggest carrying a magnum defensive round in your steel-framed M66.

I had the chrony out today and thought I'd list some the the averages I got in my recent 3-inch SP101 purchase. All are 125gr JHP loads except the Federal Hydra-Shock listed.
These are averages of 10-shot strings-

Winchester Super-X 125gr JHP--1,323fps
Cor-Bon 125gr JHP--1,452fps
Federal Hi-Shock 125gr JHP--1,286fps
Speer Gold-Dot 125gr. JHP--1,321fps
Federal Personal Defense 130gr JHP--1,367fps
Remington Golden Sabre 125gr JHP--1,881fps***

***I wouldn't trust the numbers of the Golden-Sabers. My machine kept reading "error" and only 4 shots were picked up. They were also really widespread(1,995, 1,911, 1,830, 1,790). With the recoil feeling around the same as the other loads tested, I know they couldn't have been traveling at nearly 2,000fps. I can't explain why I had so much trouble getting readings on these. All other loads tested nicely.

I find the Speer Gold-Dots to be real miserable to shoot, sending copper particles all around the areas of the cylinder-gap and muzzle.

The Cor-Bon had the most consistant velocities and showed really good performance, I thought, with the short 3" barrel of the SP101. The recoil was also quite managable.

I'm currently using the 125gr Federal Hi-Shocks(not Hydra) because it's proven to be the most accurate in this gun. I found out today it's also the slowest of the loads I have on hand. This might be were the extra accuracy comes from(recoil head games).

FWIW-All loads proved to be angle-of-terrorist accurate at the 25yds I've been firing at. I wouldn't hesitate using any of them on a regular basis, excepting the Gold-Dots, which seem to sprays shavings all over the place. This seems odd, since I never had this problem in the .38spl Gold-Dot loadings I'd previously fired in my S&W snub.

Grips?
I have a set of the Eagle Secret Service grips for my Ruger Speed-Six. These India-made grips required alot of fitting. After I shot with them I found they allowed very little recoil control. It became very painful just trying to get through the first box of magnum rounds, though, .38 and .38+P were still a breeze. Could not return them since the warranty was voided because of fitting which they really needed.

I really like the Hogue Bantam grips James has on his list. These are what came stock on my S&W 340PD. Very contollable on my j-frames. Haven't tried them on a k-frame like yours, though.

I also have a set of Hogue's standard mono-grips on my SP101. THese are extremely comfortable but not as compact as the downsized Bantam versions. I have no other experience with aftermarket grips.

Holsters?
I always end up with a crap-load for each new gun. It seems I always come back to a simple belt-slide design for my 6-shooters. I carry my 5-shot defensive pieces in inexpensive IWB designs.

"...I will carry with .357 loads but will practice with .38spl..." That's not a good idea. You should practice with what you intend to carry. It'd be like practicing for a Formula 1 race in a nerdmobile Neon.
I've always liked the Pachmayr grips for a 2.5" 66. Makes it fit my hand nicely.

Has anyone else had the same problems that E=MC^2...has had with Eagle Secret Service grips that was what I was seriosly considering for my 66...but if you can't shoot then no dice.

Your point is well taken on practice ammo...I plan on do some pracitce with .357...but use .38spl for plinking

Anyone have a picture of the Hogue Bantam grip

The Cor-Bon had the most consistant velocities and showed really good performance, I thought, with the short 3" barrel of the SP101. The recoil was also quite managable.

I have shot some of this in my own 2.25" SP101. It is advertised as a full-power load, but seemed appreciably milder than the Remington 125 SJHP (R357M1). Not that this is a bad thing. The Remington has terrific blast from the snubby barrel. Another .357 load worthy of consideration is the Federal Personal Defense 130-grain Hydra-Shok.

I find that the rubber grips tend to catch on clothing making draw difficult and increasing printing. I prefer the wood grips, smooth if using 357s. I like the Hogues and Love the Nils.
