I am thinking about a semi auto 22 for the range. I think I would prefer a buckmark, but I handled the gsg and wondered about it, especially for the price. Anyone have experience with these?

The GSG 22 is an okay pistol for the money, but unless you upgrade it with aftermarket accurizing parts it will not even come close to the accuracy most other 22's. Sights are plastic, and it comes with three front sights, however most will shoot high even with the tallest one, so sights are another added cost. Next is the ambi safety which is guaranteed to become loose/worn where they join in the center, another added cost. By the time you upgrade the GSG to be a great shooter you'd be at the cost of a nice Buck Mark which is already great shooter out of the box.
