I've had this mat for 15 or more years and haven't managed to dissolve it with Hoppe's... at least, not yet. Even with the nice schematic, I still hate breaking down a Garand, lol.

Hey, crawling around on the floor? The Dr. told us to exercise right?If you get into detail stripping or gunsmithing, a Lyman mat has little partitions to prevent parts from rolling around and is very helpful. It will save you a lot of time crawling around on the floor with a flashlight.
