Proposed gun control legislation if one side wins:

1. AR-15's become NFA, tax required
2. Universal Background Check
3. Ban online sales of guns, ammunition and gun parts
4. Revive the Social Security Gun Ban
5. One gun a month purchase maximum
6. Incentivize states to license gun owners
7. Open the gun industry to lawsuits

Other gun control laws are also under consideration

Yep, its November again. I imagine the other side (that made stocks illegal by executive action vs law change) is still saying he is pro 2nd amendment too...

Don't take that wrong, I understand lesser of two evils but also can see death by 1000 cuts and expansion of executive powers that will only make things worse next time a (d) gets there.

Hmmmm. I wonder if the "Big Guy" will get his 10% cut from the tax too?;)

The National Rifle Association’s Andrew Arulanandam told Breitbart News that the current “low end” estimate of privately-owned AR-15s in the United States is 18 million. A tax of $200 on 18 million AR-15s means that gun owners could potentially be required to pay a collective $3.6 billion in taxes if this policy were enacted into legislation.

I think Trump did what he did to bump stocks because it's easier to reverse it through Executive Order than if the ban had happened another way. I don't ..... like .... what was done, but otoh I think bump stocks are stupid and not the "hill to die on." Trump may not be a 24kt pure 2A , but he is cosmically better than Biden/Harris!!!!!!!!

Don't forget Biden wants registration and a $200.00 tax on each 30 round magazine we own as well!! No word on how magazines are actually to be registered; I have a bazillion of 'em and none have a serial number ..... :scrutiny::confused:

1. AR-15's become NFA, tax required
Initial registration due to a change in the NFA law, historically, has always been free.

But realistically, this sort of expansion of the NFA isn't going to fly. The ATF is already hard-pressed to handle the NFA as it is. There's no way it can deal with millions upon millions of semiautomatics.

The campaign rhetoric is going to hit the brick wall of reality.

200+ million standard capacity magazines to be entered into the NFA registry too.

*and* under current regs anything in the NFA registry requires prior permission before transporting across state lines too.

And yet, the short bus crowd tells you with a straight face, "Nobody wants to take your guns."

That lie has died a horrible death along with "no further territorial ambitions" and "resettlement to the east".

They know it won't work. They don't WANT it to work. They just want an excuse to take your guns, hopefully while imprisoning or killing you in the process.

I don't see him grand fathering anything that gets put on the list. As long as we (the gun community) don't go off the rails if he is elected he'll have his hands tied for a while fixing covid and what not.
