Gun manufacturer stickers on car

I don't put any stickers on my truck except for the occaisional TX state trooper supporter decal, and that goes on my window above my registration sticker.

No sense advertising I might have something worth stealing in the vehicle.

If a criminal is cruising a large parking lot, thinking about a quick smash & grab, or checking for unlocked vehicles, which vehicle is more likely to yield some "fence-able" goods from the console; the one with the Glock/NRA stickers, or the one with the Honor Roll sticker? Why call attention to your vehicle as one that "might" contain a firearm.
Exactly!

The people with the Honor Roll bumper sticker on their car have it on there for their kid, not because of you. It makes the kid feel proud.
Must boost Precious Little One's fragile self-esteem, mustn't we?

The anti-gun groups (and state controlled media) want to marginalize guns and their owners. If more gunowners/shooters displayed their decals and stickers, we'd give encouragement to others.

Those guys who signed the Declaration of Independence put their lives on the line. I'm sure we could dare to show a sticker or two.

(I have an NRA sticker, a USPSA sticker and am adding a "God Bless Our Troops...Especially Our Snipers" sticker.) The "Sniper" sticker is from LaRue Tactical.

What abt to each their own dont like stickers dont put them on dont like other peoples stickers dont read them and you might want to scrape the emblem off the back of your car might just be the make the criminals are looking for

I have a souvenier sticker from the Cayman Islands and a fraternal badge on my car and thats it. Both items are pretty low key and do not have loud colors or logos. No gun stuff. That's for me to know and anyone who messes with me to find out.

Suggestion:

Instead of hiding in the closet as a gun owner, do the opposite.

Come on out of the closet and proclaim your status as a gun owner! It's not that hard. Bad guys aren't looking to get perforated to get a gun.

Instead of being a closet gun owner, I'd urge you to instead be proud and help others learn about the safe and fun sport of shooting and all of the benefits it entails to its practitioners!

Trust me, if BGs looked for cars or homes to break into because of stickers or publicity garnered by people like me, then I would have been broken into long, long ago.

The same logic says that bad guys will ambush cops to take their guns. How often does that happen outside of Chicago?

John
