Gun manufacturer stickers on car

It doesn't quite track to go to the trouble of getting a concealed carry permit and then advertising it on your vehicle.

Seriously, there are a lot of new medicines on the market that will help you feel better.

LOL Lone Gunman.

I'm sure you could be set up with pills that stop you from paying to advertise for other people's businesses so you can "express yourself", too.

There's a pill for everything now.

Personally, I don't think it's paranoid at all. Why would you advertise you have firearms or possibly carry. A criminal that now knows you carry or have firearms will probably make sure he/she has some kind of advantage over you knowing that you still need to draw your weapon.

I don't have any stickers on my ride, and don't give a crap if anyone else does either!
Come on its just a sticker for crying out loud.

So you put a sticker for "Ruger" on your car. OK, at most you saying you have a $400 gun inside your $20,000+ automobile.

Hell, if I was the crook I would just steal the damn car.

I think the .44 or .45 hanging on my side advertises that I have a gun moreso than any stickers will... :D

Ya, because the criminals usually don't make sure they have an advantage? If you have a gun a criminal is less likely to do anything to you in the first place.

"Scared wussies?"

Hoo-boy. Discretion is always the better part of valor, and certainly the better part of advertising.

Guess the voices of experience mean nothing to some of you. In my line of work, I deal with criminals, and interview them regularly ... I know how they think.

But carry on smartly, guys.

At any rate, I'd never advertise any product, no matter how much in love I was with said product, for free. Some of you evidently come cheaper.

I'm not one to put stickers on my car. That's just how I am and my personal perference. I do wear a lot of hats and shirts that have firearms logos. Only a couple strangers over the years have made a comment on my attire that I didn't care to answer and I just ignore them. BTW, I just became a member of the NRA and have a couple NRA stickers. I still didn't decide where to put them;).

I put my gun related stickers on my gun safe, nowadays.I used to have Charlton Heston is MY President,NRA,politically incorrect, and SASS stickers all over my Ranger, but my brother has the pick-up now,and I got a Suzuki ''Japanese Jeep'' that I love, and it's dead stock and unadorned.Nowadays,in THIS political climate,I'm all about stealth.

Put a Brady Bunch sticker on your car. Then, criminals will know you don't have guns and won't bother to follow you home.

Or they would if they could read. So, drive an old, crappy car that needs body work and a paint job. Then, even illiterate criminals will ignore you.

I don't think it's a good idea to have anything on a vehicle that advertises any usefull information to crooks or over zealous police. The less a stranger knows about me and my family the better. I think it's a real bad idea to put kids names and their sports, schools, and hobbies on vehicles. I saw this the other day and thought what a great thing for a child predator to know. as for gun logos, etc., why do you want every thug to know you are a gun person an may have a gun in your car while it's parked or a gun collection in your house. If you are on vacation, it may invite a "super trooper", gung ho cop to pull you over or search your vehicle. Personally I don't advertise anything.

I'll say it once again, official NRA courses teach not to put NRA bumper stickers on your car, so I feel if they of all people urge not to put their own bumper stickers on cars, you'd better not do it.

Why do they sell them & give them to new members?

A potential thief could case you and your home in hopes of securing himself some firearms.
That happened to me -- it had nothing to do with stickers on my car. We had cats, the cats had fleas, and my wife called an exterminator -- who gave a list of my guns and directions to my house to a burglar.

Fortunately, there was an informant, and the burglar was caught before he hit my house.

Have to show that to my wife. She can't understand why I am so fanatical about not letting service folks into the house til I do a "scrub" of the place.

Gun magazines, guitars, books, computers, I put it all away.

Takes me an hour before I'll let anyone in.

Glad they caught them before the plan was put into action. Scary stuff.

I have an NRA sticker but with the tinted glass id is hard to see. as well as a Modern performance, sticker.. I'm proud NRA member.

I have a Florida License plate on my car that has the Army Seal and US ARMY across the bottom of the tag. It has been suggested by many friends that I am asking for trouble because there are so many people that dislike the American military. What a sad state we have allowed America to sink to. I will not change the tag and have added a 101st Airborne Div plate frame and I dare anyone to make an attempt to damage my car because of the plate. I have also ordered a US Army retired plate for the front of the car which will also have a 101st plate frame and retired stickers for the windows. I am an old guy with a very bad attitude when someone attempts to or violate my rights. Yes, I have a CCW permit and carry 99.9% of the time for my protection and my familys protection.

If your afraid someone will break into your home and steal your guns, you need a better safe :)

Completely unsupported and unsubstantiated notion. Never has it happened with the tens of thousands of stickers driving around over the many decades. Well, maybe it happened once, but nobody knows. Lightning kills people in the shower more often.

I think there are a lot of [strike]scared[/strike] imaginatively paranoid wussies on this board... lol

Exactly.
