Gun owners more likely to drink and look at porn? What?

"its like saying that most ice cream is consumed in the summer months, and that most murders are commited during the summer months, therefor ice cream makes people want to commit murder"

I guess I and my family are going to have to give up ice cream during the summer months.

Last year I lived on campus for a while. Some of my roommates were planning to brew their own distilled spirits. They were talking really professional about boiling/distilling and that stuff which is best left to professionals.

It took a great amount of strength and persistence for me to convince them NOT to do it. I could have saved several lives.

Oh no! Lets put restrictions on ice cream now! In fact, lets BAN it! It's for the children!

I think I understand now. It's simple, really.
All you have to do is preface whatever idiotic, sweeping, prejudicial judgements you can make with "Statistics say/show/etc...." and that gives your asinine statements more authority.

For instance, "Statistics say that journalists are the most biased and irresponsible segment of the population."

Oh, wait...That's about like saying: "Statistics indicate that fire is hot..."

:D

Distilling is actually quite safe, provided you get out the methanol. That said, you're still better off getting the $12 1.5 liter bottle of vodka, it's cheaper(when you figure in time and equipment), and it will probably taste better.

I can concentrate on only one thing at a time.
What about gun porn? :D

Back OT:))):

Sounds like a steaming pile of horse manure to me. Though I do enjoy a few drinks here and there.

It's just that my roommates were new at trying that, and they were talking so professional-like and like they knew everything. I just didn't want them to potentially do something wrong.

I looked at porn and drank LONG before I owned a gun.

Maybe it was the porn and alcohol that led me to guns.

Archigos said,

it's plainly obvious that the statistics they threw out were fabricated.
Assuming that 100% of male gun owners both drink and look at porn, the statistic would still require less than 5% of the rest of the public to drink, and less than 2% of the rest of the public to look at porn.

Agreed. You beat me to it.

I drink and look at porn. Porn got me through many a days at sea when I was in the Navy. Sheesh...I think I'll just go and cling to my guns and religion now.

Now I would have gotten a kick out of this is it said:

"Gun owners more likely to drink and look at porn at the same time as shooting."

I need a picatinny rail attachment for both a shotglass holder and a magazine holder-- then I'm set.

Thanks so much for posting that article:D:D I couldn't agree more!!!

BTW, a recent study linked frequent masturbation with low prostate cancer rates, and even claimed that this "filthy" act may cure this form of cancer.

I don't know about that though.

They act as if those are bad things. Well, drinking beer is, because you could be drinking Scotch.

Porn: makes no sense. If I were hungry would I look at a picture of a pork chop or a movie of people eating?

Nice but slightly off. More like eating hamburger steak while staring at a picture of filet mignon.
