So I drop in to the local hardware store today to pick up a few rounds of ammo and the gun display catches my attention (they always do) as they have really improved their inventory. The rather young and facially peirced emplyee says "so what cal do ya like", most any that will do the job, I say. Then he starts in with the Springfield XD sales pitch, don't get me wrong I am sure they are fine pistols. But I was not aware that they are "way better-n-glock, holds way more rounds, shoots with 1/2 the recoil and uses real steel clips". Well all that was not so bad but then this young man felt complelled, after saying "I carry the forty", to pull his XD from the small of his back to show it to me. In the process of displaying his pistol pride, he managed to scare the family shoping near me out of the store. Well not sure where he learned firearms safety but I did not enjoy being in front of him during the draw, found myself fighting the urge to run-draw-shoot.
Thinking about stopping by and visiting the owner to discuss gun handeling policy but not sure it will do much good :banghead:
