Don't forget the people who don't have good personal hygiene.I don't miss gun shows at all. Gun prices are high. Ammo prices are high. I'll go if I'm bored an have nothing to do, but if I see something I like, I leave the show and go to my LGS or even Academy for a better price and service, should there be any problems.
As part of a buying strategy at gun shows, I've seen recommendations to dress in old clothes, not shave, and not bathe for a few days before going to the show. This the opposite of an ostentatious display of wealth, which would obviously weaken your bargaining position. The idea is to have the seller take pity on you, and/or want to get rid of you as soon as possible.Don't forget the people who don't have good personal hygiene.
I haven't done this myself, but apparently lots of others are following this advice.Has it worked for you to get a great deal?
LoL! Been downwind of those folks wondering which concession stand was serving fried onions . . .I haven't done this myself, but apparently lots of others are following this advice.
