Hodgden's reloading site lists a load for the .243 Win using a 60gr Sierra bullet and H-335 powder. My question is, should I use a LR Std primer or a Mag primer? Load lists 35.0-39.0gr of H-335.
Also, does anyone have experience using H-335 in a .243 Win? I've used H-335 in .223 for years with good results. I've had good good results using slower powders(-4064, -4320, -4350, Re-15) in .243. H-335 seems a little fast but,if Hodgden says it's safe, I'm sure it is. How is accuracy?
Thanks.

Just my 2 cents. I always use a mag primer with a ball powder. Now, others will say it's not necessary, but for me it keeps it simple. You are in KY and it gets pretty cool there in winter, and mag primers help in colder weather. Just use them to start your work up and go from there, as long as you have enough stocked up.

H335 is a little fast, but 60gr is also pretty light so it's a trade off, and shouldn't be a problem. You need to confirm accuracy and you'll be GTG.
