H&K HK45 Made in Germany Again?

LGS claims to have German-made HK45's (recent manufacture). I thought ALL HK45 production was shifted to New Hampshire circa 2011.


Anyone know anything ?

Go look at it and find out what is engraved on the pistol.

Does it say Made in the USA or something else?

Lately in my LGS, I've seen the HK 45 and HK 45 Compact being marked as Made in Germany along with the appropriate proof markings. The HK 45 Tactical and Compact Tactical appear to be marked as USA made.

Yeah they are being made in Germany again. Word is that HK is going to be expanding operations in Columbus Georgia soon and then start making many of their pistols for the US market there but for now pretty much everything is being made in Germany.

I went to this LGS and confirmed that you are all correct - ended up buying one. I have a BG date code pistol (2016) with all German markings. If sigarms228 is correct this could be a temporary thing that will end soon. So if you want a German-marked gun it might be time to pull the trigger.

This is why I just had my local guy seek out a P30L V1 with night sights for me. I've been itching for an HK ever since I parted company with my last two, and now I have a VP9 that's fully German marked and will soon have a P30L that's German marked.

I believe all of the P30s, USPs and VP9s are German-made. It's a 2nd cool thing for sure. If someone sees an HK45 Tactical made in Germany please update this thread.

Nice. You are going to love your P30L. I got mine in 2013 but mine is DA/SA with the safety. I changed to hammer spring and to new FPBS and trigger is really sweet on SA and DA. I have several 9MM pistols and my P30LS is one of my very top favorites.
