I was function testing and cleaning an H&R model 732 for my Aunt, and noticed a very peculiar problem. There is one space in the cylinder that seems to cause off center primer strikes. Whatever round ends up in that particular spot doesn't fire, and experiences off center primer strikes. When I fired said rounds out of a different space in the cylinder, they fired properly. Does anyone have any ideas as to what could be wrong and how to fix it? It's a .32S&W, Serial # AF46476. I had cleaned it properly before hand as well.

There is a gentleman that goes by the user name32magnum that hangs around here. Quite the subject matter expert on H&R and New England Firearms revolvers. You might look him up,...pm him. He may have an answer for you.

Is each chamber locking into place, or can you manually move the cylinder back and forth? Is this occurring in both single action and double action?

I found the issue, playing with it more. It would be extraordinarily difficult to explain, especially while typing, but regardless I now know that I need a new cylinder. Any ideas as to where I could possibly find one?

Thanks for the help, guys, and sorry I didn't go into depth with the problem I found. I had trouble explaining it, even in person. Regardless, the owner of the pistol decided that she would rather just have a 5 round gun, instead of spending the extra $40.

Is this going to be a SD gun? I know the 732 isn't really worth the $40 fix 'cause it sells for $125 to $175 depending on condition. However, I really hope your Aunt doesn't use it for SD/HD. The 32S&W Long cartridge is marginal from a snub. Having it out of time adds to the worries. Did I say that I hope your Aunt doesn't rely on it for SD/HD?
