Call this the H&R owners club.

Who here owns an H&R for god knows what reason?

I have this Model 732 that I love dearly. The first thing I did with it was change out the plastic mainspring/guide assembly and replace it with a steel one. I then added wood grips and brass medallions. I think it looks pretty darn good!

Do automatic's count for this owner's club? I've got a H&R Self-Loader in .32 ACP. However, I'd love to get my hands on a really clean trapper or hunter revolver.

I do have to say I'm impressed with the craftsmanship on this self-loader, it is a tight little gun that compares pretty favorably to my old colts and savages. I guess the funky looks didn't make it that big a seller.

I am the only one that could not see the photos in the original post???

i would like to be, and hopefully will be soon, a member of the H&R Club. Been looking at 22LR DA Revolvers and the H&R's seem to be the most reasonable.

I had a .22 revolver from H&R that was modeled off a SAA.
It was spray painted black and traded it for a FIE .25 auto.

I've got a couple!

Here's 4, 1980 Sportsman, 2 with 4" barrel, 2 with 6 " ,Wearing Jay Scott grips.

Model 929 2 1/2 inch .22LR....bought it new in 1973,...many many rounds down range with it. Still carry it occasionally,...great little plinker,..and a solid little kit gun. Popped a lot of rabbits, squirrels,...and a few "boonie chicken's" with it over the years as well.

Little 922 that I got a few months ago. I just got it out for the first time last weekend. About every other round was a non-discharge, light-strike.

I had a Model 999, and wish I still did.

Check your hammer return spring pawl. Bet you a dollar to a donut it is broken. It's a very simple fix if you can find the part. Check Numrich'd by any other name,....I rodered two the last time. One was a nylon,..the other a metal version. The metal one works better.

Hows this one?
I have a whole lot of pre-1942 H&R revolvers.

Ding! Ding! Ding! Broken nylon pawl on the main spring! Now, why the heck would they use a nylon pawl on that?? :) Thanks, Thunder!

Off to check Numrich!
