H. & R. 999 Mainspring/Guide Rod Question ...

I am repairing a H&R 999 Revolver for a friend and had to order a new Mainspring/Guide Rod Assembly ... The old one was Plastic and was in pieces when I dis-assembled the gun, so I am not certain as to which direction the new (Steel) assembly should go ...
I am attaching a picture (compliments of Numrich) and need to know if the part is installed "as pictured" or "flipped" over ? ... Thanks for your help.

I have this Schematic already and thought maybe the picture might be incorrect ?

When you put that trigger spring assembly back in the grip handle place the longer end in the top position.Also replace the new trigger spring assembly with a metal head not a plastic one.After some years go by it will crumble and desinergrate in the grip handle again.Then parts might be harder to find.

+1 to flyingtiger85. Numrich actually recommends the steel replacements. These are newly made items that are engineered to fit the older nylon head pieces.

I installed the new (steel) assembly as directed and
everything works great again.
