I would bet money that if you sold a revolver marked "WADCUTTER ONLY", someone would load up some near .357 magnum +P+ wadcutter loads and you can guess who would get sued for it blowing up!

True, and that may be the reason no one has ever made a 38 Special revolver that is only strong enough for wadcutter loads. On the other hand, people do that with any gun you can name.
