I have my grandfathers "H&R Sportsman Double Action". The serial number is M4094. I was hoping someone could date that for me. Also when I got it the cylinder was missing. I bought one for a new model "Sportsman 999" and hoped it would fit. It fits perfect, but will not rotate. Took it to a gun shop, and after three months all they did was loose my rear site. Anybody have an idea how to solve the problem or find an original cylinder?
