I have a large stash of 380 auto I have reloaded laying around and I have pretty much stopped shooting my Gov 380 so I needed something to burn it up with.
About 10 years ago, I made the mistake of ordering 2000 pieces of 380 auto brass from starline to go with the 1000 pieces I already had. I meant to order 1000 more, so given brass, I reloaded it. My Gov 380 has developed a peening problem and it was my favorite 380 to shoot, so then I had this pile of reloads, not much interest in shooting it. Some of the reloads are now almost 10 years old so....
I picked up a BDA380 to go with my 84F.
I have shot my 84F a lot but when I picked it over the BDA about 15 years ago, I always regretted not getting the Browning at the same time. I really should have because I like the looks of the BDA over the 84f. My 84f was a carry gun for a long time so before it was replaced with the P7PSP's it had a lot of holster time. Now it just sits in the case, mostly pickled up with plenty of lube and oil on it as I don't think I have shot it in 3 years or so. I always liked the nickeled BDA look and the closed slide over the open 84f. The open slide 84f appeals as a carry gun for ease of ejection but I doubt I would ever carry the BDA. Why scratch up a nice looking gun?
Now with the BDA, I see I will be out at the range burning off some of the 380 stash so I can reload it.
