I'm not fond of shooting shorter length cartridges in a longer chamber with cast bullets due to build up of lead alloy/bullet lube with decreased accuracy as a result etc.
Too, in a carbine length bbl., the .327 approaches the .357 Magnum in velocities. I own and shoot a Marlin 1894 in .357 with good results...scoped with a 2.5x Leupold, it will give me 1-1/2" groups for five shots at 100 yds with Lyman's 358156GC and velocities ~1600 fps, a viable deer combination out to 75 yds or so...so no need for the .327 in my estimation...the shorter .32 H&R is plenty good enough as a woods walker/chuck sniper in the hedgerows.
Neither the .327 nor the H&R is a deer cartridge out of handgun or carbine so why bother with the more potent .327 which will just burn up more of my limited powder and bullet alloy...
But each to his own...it doesn't fit in my scheme of thing but may in others....more power to them....Rod
