The sound of my bullet impacting what Im trying to 'catch' as we say in the Hunting world here........"Payday" is another way to describe it......
a crackling fire and coffee and Hoppes #9 on a winter evening
Well, I have shot the moon, just not the one you're referring to.for a minute there, I thought you were trying to shoot the moon!
Yea, I forgot that part. I still enjoy a pipe on occasion, but mostly it's Lucky Strikes and Beech-Nut these days. When we squirrel hunted with the dogs a lot, I'd load my pipe, light it, and smoke on it for most of the hunt. Would occasionally have to knock it out and reload it if we were having to move quickly; I'd forget to draw on it while on the run!Don't forget the pipe full of good tobacco and lit with a burning pine bough pulled from the fire.
that’s a good life!I have found lots of things that create Happiness…

May you all find happiness in the little things as well.
Stay safe.
BLISS!!"Happiness is" spending a lazy morning on THR and forgetting about the fact that it IS Monday. I might drive down to the local county gravel pit and run a few rounds through my new .357 later. Or not - it's kinda cold outside, so I might just go down in the basement and put powder and bullets in the 50 primed .357 cases sitting in a loading block on my bench. Or not - my sourdough starter needs fed, so maybe I'll look at a few new sourdough recipes on the internet and try one of them. Or not - getting old has its share of problems, but retirement isn't one of them.
I think it was John Wayne that said “ Money can’t buy happiness, but it’s a lot easier to cry in a limo than on a bicycle “Happiness is $100,000,000!!! I can buy happiness with that $$$,$$$,$$$!!!
That John Wayne was no lier !I think it was John Wayne that said “ Money can’t buy happiness, but it’s a lot easier to cry in a limo than on a bicycle “
