Happiness is...

MacAR: you might also be re-incarnated from the year 900 AD. It's only pure random chance that most of us weren't learning to throw spears/lances or seaxes as boys. But many people here have done so.

The smells and sights of nature are so 'correct'. Sometimes I pause shooting for about 10 minutes at a rural gun club (south of Jackson TN) with nobody else around, on weekdays, and enjoy the 98% silence.
That's true. My Irish blood allows me to appreciate spears and axes (have a wonderful collection of various American single and double bits) so I can see that being the case. I like to think my ancestors were the ones who did the hunting for the clan rather than sitting at home on their duffs.

I have found lots of things that create Happiness…

May you all find happiness in the little things as well.

Stay safe.
A wee bit off topic, but, Rio, is that guitar player John 5? Talented player.

Need I go on?

:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:
Don't forget the pipe full of good tobacco and lit with a burning pine bough pulled from the fire.
Regretfully, I gave up my pipe in 2005. That is, I "practically" gave it up - I still light it up (with a burning pine bough) whenever I'm sitting by a campfire with a hot cup of coffee. ;)
I've never smoked but have always enjoyed the smells that a good pipe produces. Would love to sit across the fire from you and smell your pipe while we swapped stories! :)

What's making me happy right now (the group I posted is a few years old) is a newly assembled Howa Mini Action in 6mm ARC. Bought the barreled action from Brownell's and put it in a Southern Cross Small Arms folding chassis. Added a length of ARCA rail from Amazon and a muzzle brake takeoff from a CA Mesa. The clamp on bolt knob (which fits surprisingly well) and 20 MOA rail came from Legacy Sports. Scope is a FFP Athlon Midas TAC 6-24x50 in Vortex rings. I'm enjoying the anticipation of taking it to the range, hopefully this weekend.

To be completely honest, the chassis is a bit of an experiment. If I don't like it, I'll replace it with another B&C sporter.

Yeah I'm going to have to change my initial post to reflect that true happiness is "Delivered". The last 3 fricken times I've ordered ammo it gets to a sorting facility 35 mins from my house, says "on the way" and the "we're sorry, your package has experienced a sortation delay". Arghhhh.

I'm so impatient and don't understand how it gets 35 mins from my house and takes 3-4 extra days to get here. What are the odds that 3x in a row, as soon as it hits the facility near me it gets tied up in a sorting delay. I don't get it, the last case I ordered was steel case and I'd rather be shooting that then going through my brass cased stuff. Smh.
