James Madison had it right..........................
"The Constitution preserves the advantage of being armed which Americans possess over the people of almost every other nation where the governments are afraid to trust the people with arms."

Back in the day, the guns were muzzleloaders.

Celebrate your freedom by shooting a muzzleloader today.

The smoke & BOOM are the real fireworks that celebrate our freedoms in this country.

I agree with Buck!! Well spoken. Back a few years a dozen of us would line up and fire our flintlocks in a volley fire at night to the great appreciation and a big round of applause from friends and neighbors at the cookout. And there was always shouts for, "Do it again!!!!"

What a show that was!!! :)

Thomas Jefferson, speaking of Americans:

"We are all gun men!"

Happy Fourth of July everyone.

Happy 4th, Gentlemen all. I don't think my neighbors would appreciate me firing a full cylinder from the LeMat tonight ( along with the shotgun barrel ) but I will shoot off a few fireworks and raise a glass to the United States of America! Long may our flag wave!
with all regards,

I finally shot my Philadelphia Derringer, early this morning. I've had for almost a year, and decided to take it out and shoot it. Managed to hit paper at 7 yards, but I won't bother trying to brag about the pattern. I can understand how Booth had to have shot Lincoln at point blank range to inflict the killing shot.

I agree with the idea and sentiment, but am short a muzzleloader...how about the "modern" muzzleloader, aka AR-15? The old man and I had 2 ARs and shot them as "talking" guns until all 21 rounds had been expended.
