Heh heh. Same here. Quickly got into ARs after that.My movie gun I had to have was a mini 14 after watching the A-team as a kid. Once I owned one I realized why Hannibal never hit anyone...
But I grew up watching Roy Rogers and The Lone Ranger, Bonanza, et al, so I had to have a Colt Peacemaker.
Watching all the WWII movies with my dad, and shows like "Combat!" I had to have a 1911. Bought my first one right after enlisting, never looked back.
As an adult, yeah, I got suckered into the Bond gun, Walther PPK (early Interarms) … needless to say, not a fan anymore.
The SAA and the 1911 were the guns I wanted as a child in the '60s, and still pretty much my top two.
