Just wondering if anyone has actually opened a gift of gun on the blessed morning? What was it? Your reaction? :)

The only thing I can say about my reaction was that I married a Great woman.

yes, i have. a few times. and my wife has too. its good feeling when ive been putting off buying a new gun till after xmas. and that model is under the tree, then found out she bought it 2 months in advance. first was a beretta m9 and second was a sig p220. her first was a sa 1911 with pink grips, second was a s&w 3913 and last year she got a s&w mp15-22 in pink camo.

Yes, 23 years ago my parents gave me a Browning BAR in 300WM with a Leupold VXIII 3.5X10 scope. The rifle has been all over the US and taken scores of deer, elk and caribou. I'm forever greatful and the memories it created will last my lifetime. And yes, it's still my main hunting rifle though I own many others.

Well yes. I gave myself a Glock 36. Some of the relatives didn't like seeing a gun, but they can like it or lump it. Yes I liked it. :D

Got a Stevens 20ga when I was 14 from my stepdad. A Ruger 10/22, Thompson center renegade kit, later in life.

Last year I received an STI GP6 for Christmas from my wife. She's given me two other firearm presents over the years (a Hungarian FEG SA-85M and a Swedish Model 38 Mauser)--but I can't remember whether they were Christmas or birthday presents.

Yes. On my thirteenth Christmas, 1945. The box contained a new Remington 511 .22. Federal Office of Price Administration tag said $14.00. I still have it.

Mmmmm Hmmmm!

A Browning .22 Auto from my folks.
A Ithaca SKB .20 ga double from my folks.
A new Colt AR-15 carbine from my wife.
And a new Ruger Mini-14 from my wife.

I was over-joyed and humbled all four times!

But that was way back then, before my folks died.
And my wife doesn't give me Xmas presents any longer.

She just gives me a hard time now!

Yes, I came home from the store and had a new gun locker, and my 3 year old said open it, Daddy, there is a new gun in there for you.

Not on Christmas, but this last birthday my brother-in-law gave me a Glock 19. Knocked my socks off I can tell you!!

Sure did. 12 years old and opened my brand-new Mossberg 20 gauge. I had no idea that little box held such a great gift.
My reaction was to put it together, load it up, and go shoot pigeons. First shot kill; I was on top of the world.

If 'gun' and 'underwear' had interchangable definitions, then the answer would be yes.

No I have never gotten anything gun or gun related for any holiday.

A couple in my lifetime but the one I remember most clearly was a Kimber 82G that I got from CMP. It came to the house in mid-December so I just put a bow on it and did not open it until Christmas day. I was not disappointed and it is forever known as my Christmas Kimber.

Years ago, that's what my mom and dad would buy me for Christmas. From .22's to .270's. When I was eighteen they got my first pistol(that was completely mine to do as I wish).

1959 My brother & dad gave me a 20 ga. Remington 870 pump I still have it & it's still going strong .
