Heads up if you live near a cabelas!

The local cabelas here in Utah has federal rifle ammo for a VERY good price right now. I was told that federal is redesigning the box graphics and wanted to blow all the old style boxes out.

20 round boxes.

30-30 in either 150 or 170 grain is 7.99

243, 308, 30-06 are 9.99

7mm and 300 mag are 12.99

Just thought you might want to know. I assume all the cabelas stores got some, not just the Utah location.

I think this sale has been going on for awhile. I picked up a few boxes of Federal .308 soft point for $9.99 about 6 weeks ago.

No sir. I took my three shopping carts full and left the rest.

Of course, as soon as I told family about it, the same thing happened about 5 more times over the following week. But each time someone went back the shelves were full again.

Funny thing though: As soon as one of us started loading carts, a lot of folks around us got real interested, real quick. A couple times we had to ask them to wait thier turn. "Excuse me, I was here first, I get first pick. I'll be done in a minute." Kinda reminded me of the battles that used to happen over cabage patch dolls.

Federal .308's been about 10 bucks a box for the 150 grain SP's everywhere i've seen it since Deer Season 2006. I bought 10 boxes of it back in December.

If anyone finds some Federal 7X57 at these prices I'll buy it all off you.

I bought 5 or 6 boxes (all the gun shop had) of some Federal .270 Win last fall for $9 and change per 20. Haven't seen it for anything less since then, otherwise I'd scoop it up.

Looks like it is time for a trip up to Lehi. Also at some Cabela's you can buy a $100 gift card for $80 at Father's Day.

Another +1 for Cabela's is if you have one of their Visa cards (ie Cabela's Club Member), you get $30 in free merchandise four times per year. No strings attached... you take $30 in merchandise to the counter and you walk out owing nothing. Applies to anything in the store including the returns section. It is an in-store only promotion.
