Grrr. too many rifles, not enough funds. this is probably going to be my last gun purchase for a long while, so i want to make it count.

the problem is, i can't think of any reason not to get all of them (besides lack of money). i'm trying to decide between the Garand, m1 carbine, and a finnish mosin nagant.

if i get the carbine now, who's to say that the CMP will still have decent looking garands by the time i'm back in the market? but the carbine is just too dang fun! .30 carbine is inexpensive, and its a great little plinker.

as if it wasn't hard enough already, i just found out that wholesale gun co has UNISSUED finnish mosins!

now, i've always had somewhat of a soft spot for mosins, and a finnish mosin, in unissued condition no less, just sweetens the deal.

so, THR, you see my dilemma. to tell you the truth, i would rather have either the mosin or the carbine than the garand, but i know that there is a distinct possibility that by the time i get the funds together later down the road, the CMP may be out of garands, and i'll be forced to perhaps pay double what they'r going for now.

so should i get the garand while its hot, so to speak, or take my chances later down the road?

Get all 3!!!

Of course, that's not how it works in real life, is it?

I would say get the Garand. All you can really get from the CMP now is rack and field grade I think, maybe service. Thing is, once they run out, which will be soon, I imagine that there will be an immediate spike in prices... so if you want you can at least enjoy it for a year or so and sell it for at 'least' what you paid for it.

Mosins, even finns have been around for a while and will continue to be around, even unissued, for a lot longer than Garands. They are nice and all I guess.

I wouldn't even bother with the carbine, but that's just me.
