FWIW

FWIW,

I have four CZ's in my household, and all the chambers have substantially similar throat dimensions, which are shorter than my BHP's, HK's, and Glocks. Call it a "match" chamber ?!

I'm now beginning to think it's less of a problem... and will consult Mike once more before final decision.... Mike said that there was probably nothing wrong with my gun... just the Cor-Bon... and he seems to be right... I've since found that ALL the Starfires, Winchester SXT, and Speer Gold Dots work fine...

I shot an IDPA match yesterday and had some ASTOUNDING shots... (Moving double tap - 5 yards, 1 inch apart in the "0". Not to mention the awesome performance I had with it on moving targets...

I may just leaver her as she is at this point.... If she HAS to fire Cor-bon - she will.... I just have a feeling it won't be incredibly pleasant.

For a run 'n gun type event, none of my guns seem to point as well on the move as my CZ75, for what it's worth, I've tried more expensive guns, and they just don't do as well.

Tom,
I think you are wise to leave the gun as is. It's shooting great for you and in a SHTF situation clearing your weapon will be the least of your worries.

Allow me to point out....

From what's been said, the only problem is in extracting a live round?

So the ammo chambers and will fire? Since the bullet is no longer holding on to the leade, the case will extract and eject? The only problem is the pistol won't clear easily, right?
And that only with one brand of ammo.

All in all, that is a minor problem.

Then.....

After you've fired several hundred rounds of ammo, check with the problem ammo once again. You may find it now chambers and clears without difficulty. Those sharp edges on the leade are the first things to erode.

Let me know.

The exact same thing happened to me when I got my CZ75b. I loaded it up with cor-bon +p 115gr HPs and the first round I chambered wouldn't extract. I field stripped it (carefully) and took out the barrel. I was then able to finesse the lodged round out. When I got to the range, I fired a variety of ammo thorugh it and then burnt up all my cor-bon (including the problem round) without a problem. Haven't had any problems since.

I don't worry about it at all, and you shouldn't either. Chalk it up to break-in.
