Help Identify Gun

My friend wants a gun for SD, so my neighbor offered to sell a snub nosed .38 he has. I can't identify what type of gun this is, or if it is going to be a good deal. There is a marker on it that says HWN inside a circle. other than that printed on the side is MADE IN GERMANY. Any advice would help.

I have read very poor reviews of the Arminius SA revolvers - don't know if that applies to the DA guns, but I'd try to read up on it thoroughly.

around here those used HW Revolvers go for like 50 Euros
on a german auction site......
for SD ... if the price is right... i guess it´s fine.
