Help me out: Millet Rings / Simmons Scopes

Howdy. For scoping my Henry Big Boy (will not need a bunch of range @ .357), I was looking to perhaps put a Simmons 8pt scope (cheap but seems to hold up alright?) on Millet 1" medium scope rings. All of the above will be going on a cantilever scope mount.

Any words of wisdom on this setup?

Not familiar with the Henry cantilever scope mount.

But you might could get by with low rings if the scope will clear the barrel.

Mounting a scope as low as you possibly can to the bore is always the best.

Look at the second gun down and notice how low it can be mounted in low rings.
That right there is what you want to do.
