im looking for info on 357 mag
im using #9 powder with 158 gr bbrn lead with federal brass cant
find a starting load for this combo
this is for target load with a ruger gp 100 with a 6 inch barrel

Edster 12 has pointed you in the right direction. AA#9 is going to give you a pretty stout target load. Starting load to max load is a very small window. I found happiness with my GP-100 using a load somewhere between min and max with a 158 gr LSWC.

Less than Ideal..

#9 CAN?? be used-looks like Accurate site starts @ 11.2gr. for a 158gr. Lead bullet.

When you can find it, WW-231/HP-38, Unique, HS-6, and others are a better choice for target use with a lead bullet..Bill.
