Just did a complete field strip & cleaning on my Mossberg 702 Plinkster .22lr rifle and...........well, the feed ramp looks a little worn to say the least.
How did this happen to the feed ramp?
I've put well over 6000 rounds through this rifle and it's ran like a champ the whole time!
I'd say 95% of this ammo was either Federal or Remington Bulk Pack HP.
I bought it 6yrs ago when I was 18. I know it's a cheap gun but it was the first gun I ever bought so its value is sorta "priceless" in that regard. Not to mention I've shot this rifle to the point that I can instinctively hit anything I want inside of 75yrds.
I haven't had any problems with the feeding to date, So with that said;
1. How did this happen? (Cheap pot Metal or something?)
2. Is it a potential problem with all "cheap?" 22lrs?
3. My friend Mr. J.B. Weld wants to know if he can help if it becomes a problem down the road?
I appreciate any help or advice yall can give me with this!
