Help with jammed bullet in Colt 1860 cylinder

I have an 1860 cylinder that I bought cheap because there are not 1 but 6 balls stuck in the chambers.

No, I'm not going to pitch it because I am the world's champion cheapskate. :uhoh:

Right now it is soaking in a bottle of penetrating oil. Given time is will loosen both the threads on the nipples and the balls.

Then I will unscrew the nipples, dump any powder that may be in the chambers, and then reach through the nipple hole(s) with the largest pin-punch I have that will go through the holes, and tap out the balls.

This of course isn't going to save me any money, because I'll have to put a revolver together to use the cylinder on. :banghead:

I'm working on that... :D

Old Fuff, that'll work just fine. They could have done the same thing. How damn hard is it to figure out how to get a stuck ball out of a chamber? Shoot it out, drill it out, tap it out, screw it out, blow it out, the list goes on....

This of course isn't going to save me any money, because I'll have to put a revolver together to use the cylinder on.

At least you didn't spend it all at the same place.
Spare parts always turn in to a fire arm, at least for me.

Bigbadgun, you're right! I started to say that on the post to! "Hey! Just stop up that hole. Pour it full of melted lead or something. You'll still have 5 holes to work with and if you can't do it with 5 then you probably can't do it anyway!"
