howdy all, i'm kinda new here and i was wondering if anybody had any experience with The Heritage Big Bore .357. i've already got a .22lr/mag and have sent easily 3000 rounds thru it with no problems. the main question i have is do these also chamber .38 special like modern handguns. this might seem like a noob question but i've just gotten into SA shooting and am trying to be informed.

AFAIK all .357 revolvers (and lever guns) will chamber .38 Special.

My SAA repro certainly does.

Your accuracy may vary. Sometimes it can be excellent, sometimes not.

.357 big bore? LOL big bores start at .44. I've never shot a Heritage but I can guarantee you your money is better spent on a used Blackhawk. You can get one for under $300-400.

Yep, the Heritage .357's are considered their Big Bore guns. I know of one guy who bought two for SASS as backups and he said they were very accurate right out of the box. He felt they were a bargain. The parts are made in Italy and assembled in the U.S. btw.

When the ammo supply is back to normal I want one in .357 myself. Mike

well i picked up Heritage big bore today and i love it. i made the decision after xstuntman said they were made in italy. i researched and found they were made by Pietta. i put about 50 .357 rounds and about 125 .38 specials through it and it was dead on. cylinders locked up tight and the action was smooth. i love it as much as my brothers taurus gaucho in .45 colt (and i hafta say the finish on the heritage was alot nicer than his taurus)
