My name is John. I shoot mostly flintlock long rifles and smoothbores of which I have mostly long rifles and one smoothbore. I also have a smoothbored flintlock horse pistol and a Uberti made, Walker colt revolver as well. I've been shooting BP for 27 years. Just wanted to say hi. Yours, the Barbaric1

Welcome aboard. Even though I'm not into the whole blackpowder thing, I'm sure there's somthing here for you.

Howdy John, I'm Jim.
I'm sure you'll hear from a lot of good people on this message board and have the chance to share as well as pick up a lot of good information. I know I have.

Do you hunt with your muzzle loaders? I used my .50 caliber Hawken to take a mule deer a few years back. I just used a round ball, but it did a fine job at about 80 yards. My wife and I also attended a black powder rendezvous last summer, although we didn't compete. It was a real hoot! We met a bunch of fine people and went along on a "trail shoot."

Anyway, welcome! :)

Welcome! I hope you have a good time here and meet some fun people.

I have a lot of respect for people who shoot flintlocks and can hit what they are shooting at. That little bomb going off next to my face always throws me off!

Barberic1,
As you can see by my number of posts, I'm new to the board also.
Welcome aboard anyway.
My shooting buddy Grandson announced that he would like to try some black powder shooting this weekend.
One of my BP'S is a T.C. Seneca in .36 cal that should fill the bill.
Respectfully, Zeke

Welcome Barbaric1. With 27 years of smokepole behind you, I've bet you've got plenty of stories and experience to share here. Glad to have you aboard.
