I'm sorely tempted by a Hi Point carbine, largely due to the availability of the High Tower bullpup stock. I sold my 10 mm pistols a couple of years ago because I wasn't loving them. One of the hassles was losing so much brass due to the hypervelocity of the ejected cases. Is that still a problem in the carbine?

I should just do the sane thing and get the 9 mm for the cheap once-fired brass option (or the .40 so I can at least use up my 10 mm bullets), but a 10 mm must really shine in that longer barrel!

I have only taken mine out once to the range. I didn't notice anything wild about the ejection. In the gravel and leaves, I was able to recover all the brass.

I use Caldwell Velcro brass catcher with my PCCs/ARs and capture 99.9% of brass. If I am shooting at the bench, I just unzip the bottom zipper into a box for continuous brass collection.

This my cheap but effective way of collecting brass from my 10mm's or any semi-auto I shoot:
Go to Wally World and buy the cheapest 10' x 10' tarp they have. I buy blue since the brass is easily seen on the tarp.
Take it to the range and lay it out where you are shooting and stand on the left hand edge about 2' down from the corner.
Blast away and when through pull up all 4 corners and ALL your brass will move to the center.
You can collect it then, very easily or do like I do and just fold it up and take it home like that.
Once home its easy to dump into the tumbler.
EAZY PEAZY!!!
