I have a hi-point carbine that I picked up for cheap. I dressed it up with the ati stock and all. I would like to hear from other owners of these reasonable weapons. I collect alot of guns, mostly rifles, and I shoot what I collect. This little carbine is quickly becoming one of my favorites. I mean it is a shooter. No jams, no fail to fires, no fail to ejects. Let me know of your experiences with this weapon. Thanks

I like mine as well. Good shooter, reasonably accurate, and very cheap. Ugly as all get out though (I have the factory stock).

I just wish that the trigger was better and it would take more than 10rd mags, but for the price I can't complain too much.

If you REALLY want to have fun, put a cheap 4 reticle reflex red dot on it like the one Sportsman's Guide sells (there's a guy on eBay that sells 'Em for $37.00 delivered...Same exact one). Then let a first-timer shoot it. You'll never get it back before the ammo's gone. I've taken it out with rimfires, an AK, pistols both rim and centerfire, and it's by far the most popular with women, kids and first-timers, because of the lack of recoil & report, and the ease of hitting with the red dot...

+1 on what Clipper posted! Those flea bay sights are amazing and worth three times the price.

I think everyone should have one or two at home. The best kept secret in the shooting world, next to 22lr conversion kits.

I've got four and all were bought used and very cheap. A trip to Beemiller to get them oked and checked out and none have been back. My chrome on has a great trigger. It sports a cheapo silver reddot on it and is in the hands of my 11 year old most of the range visits. I've got two that are camo and setup with fixed power 4x scopes and have taken squirrels, rabbits and deer size game on the farm. My all blued/black one sets at hmoe with a weapons light on it and extra mag Ranger Banded on it ready for the wife to raise hell with. No problems, no complaints. Well, one complaint, I wish they made one in 22lr cause those 9mm rounds ain't cheap anymore!

Cannot say enough about my Hi Point 995. I'm currently going on over 2000 rounds without cleaning or any kind of PM ( yes, I'm intentionally doing this). Shoots everything I feed it, hollowpoints, +P ammo, semi wadcutters you name it.
No, FTE, FTF, or any malfunctions at all.
It's extremely accurate, and I really like the sights. 15 yards, rapid fire, off hand standing I can put 5 rounds into a one inch square consistently.
Alot of people don't have anything nice to say about it, mostly people who don't own one.
When I'm at the local ranges, and especially around AR enthusiasts (I'm one myself), I love to see the reaction when I bring out my Hi Point. Of course most of the AR tacticool crowd can't shoot worth a **** and it's nice to out shoot them with it.
FUN, FUN, FUN.

I dig my 995. Don't get the hi cap pro mag magazines they will make it a jam-o-matic! Otherwise there have been no failures with the 10rnd mags. shooting out to 50yds its reasonably accurate...haven't tried the 100yrd line yet.

One of the most fun guns, for the price, I have owned.

Factory laser is fun for shooting from the hip, and the red dot on top works well also. Bargins may still be found, but people are waking up to how fun this little carbine can be, at a very reasonable cost.

A .45 acp run is scheduled for Sept and many are awaiting for this caliber to show up at the store - 9mm, and 40 S&W have been getting harder to find as they become more popular, but a little looking will turn them up yet.

I am not a fan of the aftermarket stock . (ATI) I don't think it improves the looks, or the function - just adds cost, but to each his own. If I was going to spend the extra money to make it look like a Beretta Storm, I would probably spend just a little more than that and get the Beretta.

i love my little 995 9mm. its my UBC ( ugly black carbine) but ona range day of a Para 14-45, Mosin 91-30, Swiss K31 and a 995. the 995 was by far the funnest to tool around with. i just need to get more mags

cant wait for the .45. im definatly getting one

mine only cost me 150 here in Das Commonwealth

I have a Hi-Point Carbine in 40 S&W, I lke it but having only shot Wolf steel case ammo thru it so far it has had failures to fully eject the fired case sometimes. Fun gun.
